The primary responsibility of the GIS and Remote Sensing Section is coordinating and facilitating the MRV- monitoring, reporting, and verification – of Emission Reductions under the REDD+ program in Nepal. The section also has to work as a focal point on studies related to MRV and Emission Reductions carried out by service providers and documents them as far as possible. The other responsibilities include capacity building and dissemination on MRV of the REDD+ program in Nepal.
